Why we made this

We couldn’t keep pretending the price made sense.

We liked having protein powder around. We just couldn’t believe how expensive some of the brands were becoming for ingredients that seemed pretty straightforward.

French vanilla protein blend and Creami on a kitchen counter
Our starting questionWhat if we sourced it, measured it, and made it ourselves?

The short version

It started as something we wanted in our own kitchen.

So we stopped shopping for another expensive tub and started looking at the individual ingredients. We sourced them ourselves, worked out the ratios, and mixed small batches until the texture and French Vanilla flavor were where we wanted them.

Once we had a version we kept reaching for, we realized the most useful thing wasn’t another product on a shelf. It was the work behind it: the measurements, the method, the shopping list, and the notes that make the next batch easier.

We’re not trying to make protein powder feel mysterious. We’re sharing what worked for us so you can make it for yourself.

What we actually did

Sourced. Measured. Tasted. Repeated.

Nothing revolutionary—just the patient work we wished someone had already organized for us.

01

We sourced the ingredients

We started with a straightforward ingredient list and found the things we would actually feel good about keeping in our own kitchen.

02

We did the math

We worked through the ratios, measured everything in grams, and kept adjusting the blend instead of guessing scoop by scoop.

03

We tested for taste

A formula is only useful if you want to make it again. We kept testing until the vanilla tasted right in shakes, Creami, oats, and yogurt bowls.

What we decided to share

The useful part is all inside the guide.

Formula 001 turns our kitchen notes into a clear process you can follow without having to start from a blank page.
